About me

I’m Henry Forsström, an automation engineer and automation technician from Finland with about 10 years of experience in automation and building automation.

My background covers automation installations, field devices, system design, project planning, PLC programming, commissioning, Modbus communication, system integration, software development and technical leadership.

My technician background gives me practical knowledge of installations, wiring, field equipment and site work. My engineering experience covers building automation, programming, communication protocols and complete system integration.

I hold a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Automation Engineering, specializing in Automation Technology, from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.

My Bachelor’s thesis, Modbus-opas, focused on Modbus communication in building automation, including design, programming, commissioning and troubleshooting.

I also hold a Master of Science (Technology) from LUT University, where I studied Software Product Management and Business.
